In the early morning hours on December 2, the Senate passed a tax-cutting bill that includes the repeal of Obamacare’s mandate that most Americans have health insurance or pay a penalty.
Lawmakers still need to resolve differences between the Senate bill and one the House passed last month. This process could begin as early as Monday, December 4. The GOP is pushing to have the bill ready on President Trump's desk by the end of this year. For more information, click here.
