Scope/Impact

The Junior IT Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support for incoming concerns and issues related to systems, software and hardware from P&A employees and users of P&A systems.

 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for set up of new employees to P&A Group on local “in-office” equipment and confirm remote equipment is correct and granted access for first day of work
  • Complete ongoing in-office and remote workstation troubleshooting on OS’s, VPN, Network, Audio/Visual and Power issues
  • Respond to employees queries by phone and email and Microsoft Teams; Follow-up and update customer on the status and provide additional information as needed
  • Monitor workforce systems (Veeam, Microsoft, VPN) for uptime, errors, or warnings. Complete all troubleshooting and resolve issues within a timely manner.
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk – Jira
  • Maintain and update monthly tape backups.
  • Assist team with updates to software and hardware across the entire organization using ManageEngine and Rapid7 software tools.
  • Position may require off hours and weekend work for maintenance and emergencies.
